As a 15 year old I would save money from my Saturday job whenever possible. When I had enough I would go to the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool to listen to a concert. I saw and heard people like Sir Malcolm Sargeant, Yehudi Menuhin, Sir John Barbiroli and of course the Orchestra. Many decades ago now but never forgotten!❤

I couldn't agree more! A few years ago I attended a fabulous concert at the Hollywood Bowl featuring music of the movies. John Williams led the LA Phil. One of the highlights of that evening was a screening of the first 10 minutes of "Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade" with and without the score. What a difference!

John Williams work is the anthems of hero's and villans in some of the greatest movies of all time. Without music Darth Vadar would be less menacing, and Indiana Jones less of a hero.

I know some of these musicians, they take their musical gifts and play for cancer patients in and around liverpool. They work with people with mental health problems, and its just a joy to be around them. 😊😊😊

As a lad in the 70s and 80s, was brought up on Pink Floyd, Sabbath, Rory Gallagher etc, in my mid 50s sat down for the first time, and listened to Mozart's entire requiem, this led too the other classical greats. Didn't realise there was such a massive hole in my musical library til I'd listened to Mozart's requiem 3 times on the bounce. Feel quite envious of those just discovering his work.
